The "Twoje Dziedzictwo" Foundation invites you to the Pearl – Temple of Art and Light for Devinez's exhibition "Wanderings in the Abyss." The public viewing and a meeting with the artist will take place on August 7th and 8th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and the exhibition will be on view until the end of September 2026.
The selected works represent paintings whose understanding requires abandoning a learned perspective, stepping outside the box. Art that leads to the hidden, the undefined. The abyss is not just darkness. It can be a space of the unknown. A place where familiar shapes dissolve and reality loses its distinct contours. It can exist beyond us—as vastness, matter, cosmos—but also within our minds and souls: in memory, fear, desire, premonition, and dream.
In the magical, almost unreal space of the Perła, Devinez's paintings will gain an additional dimension. A former temple, saved from destruction and transformed into a meeting place for art, light, and humanity, itself carries the memory of loss and rebirth. Its austere walls, traces of time, and harmonious architecture enter into a silent dialogue with the painting. This space is not merely a backdrop for the art; it becomes a part of it: it resonates with the images, heightens concentration, and opens up undiscovered worlds to the viewer.
"Wandering the Abysses" is not an invitation to passive viewing. It is a call to cross the threshold, to enter a realm where not everything can be explained. To pause before what is alien yet familiar, unsettling yet mesmerizingly beautiful. To encounter an image that doesn't end on the canvas.
After all, the deepest abysses are within us, just beyond the limits of rational cognition, and art is one of the few ways to gaze into them without averting our gaze, even if they too begin to gaze deeply into us.
